Digital Answering Machines

My parents want a new dect phone with answermachine with 5 handsets in total. Unfortunately they also require it to beep if it has a message. Not many companies advertise this feature and I’m struggling to find them one. Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated.

I have the GE Corded 25881EE3 Phone with 5.8 GHz Cordless Dual Handsets and Digital Answering Machine. My brother took one of the cordless phones off the hook and left it off until it was on low battery. I tried to use the phone yesterday and I was only on it for ten minutes until it started beeping and saying low battery. I didn’t touch it all night and lest it on its charger and went to use it this afternoon and it had the same issue. It is hardly holding a charge at all. Do you know what the problem could be?

Our old land line phones are dying and we need to replace them. The phone system we are on is not digital, if that makes a difference. We prefer at least 2 handsets, with a base and an answering machine. It’s been 7 years since we last bought phones, so I’m going out clueless as to what is available now.
Any suggestions or recommendations would be great! Even things to avoid would come in handy.
Kevin, we still have a corded phone for just that reason. Of course, it’s 20 years old and still works fine!

Time to replace the old! I need something that is durable, not a lite-weight phone, with multiple handsets, 5.8 ghz, that I can program in our phone book and have those numbers ring differently when they call the house. An answering machine would be okay, but is not necessary. Also, a speakerphone is a must, because that way we always know where *one* phone is <lol>

Base keypad with speakerphone and caller ID

2 handsets, or one main handset with base and ability to add another handset
Caller ID and speakerphone capabilities in the handsets

Just when I think I have found "the one" I see it has an answering machine – I DON’T WANT THAT

I have a corldess phone set with all of these features but it is a 2.4 Ghz and I would like to upgrade to 5.8 / 6.0.

Just had digital (cable line) phone hooked up and need to buy a really good quality home phone with answering machine.
Need at least two additional handsets.
Is the clarity better with digital?

We use to buy from Best Buy, but that company has TERRIBLE return policies. I will never buy electronics from them again. Thanks for the suggestion though.

The last time I bought cordless phones I didn’t do any research and wound up buying junk. Can anyone recommend a good system? I need at least 2 handsets, with speakerphone, and the base needs to have a digital answering machine.

I’m looking for a 5.8 GHz digital cordless phone system with an answering machine. One handset will do but seeing that my old one just conked out 2 Handsets may be better. I thought I was set on a Panasonic phone but then started looking at Uniden. Now I’m overwhelmed at which brand is best! Can you help me out?
