Here’s the deal:
I have wanted an electric guitar for ages.
So a friend gave me a nearly munted one to fix up.
Apparently it was being thrown around in a crowd at some concert and my friend’s friend (This may have been in Switzerland, not quite sure) got it and gave it to my friends dad, who was making a guitar of his own "Crappy" branding. His dad used the neck and the neckplate on his "Crappy" guitar, then gave the rest to his son. Don’t know what he thought his son would do with a guitar that had no machine heads, and a left handed neck but ?
Anyway, the guitar is a Strat shape, red with yellow-ish (I think they might have been white once) stripes that go all over the place, like horizontally, diagonally, vertically, whatever. The tone, other tone and volume knobs have a pretty close old fashioned kind of font, so I think the guitar might be pretty old. It’s a pretty distinct guitar. I would take a picture for you to see, but my dad sat on our digital camera (kind of hard to explain). Please help. I wanna know what brand it is, make, etc. I know it’s a long shot, but maybe someone knows the description. My friends dad is Thomas Kern.

PS. I know this is a repost, and I did get one answer, but that wasn’t quite it. Think of Van Halen’s guitar but all that stripes are white (yellow(see text)) and it has a white faceplate.

i will leave the country soon…but i am not sure about whether i can bring the following stuffs or not..can someone help me check?
i will be bringing my macbook with charger, external hard drive, cellphone, ipod, ipod touch, digital camera.

i see that people say on yahoo answers that i have to take out my macbook and place it on a separate bin for it to be x-rayed? do i also have to take out my charger,external hard drive, digital camera,etc. out from my carry-on bag and be scanned by the same machine that is going to scan my laptop? i am not sure what should i show those people..
and will they check what’s in my external hard drive? thank you.
and one more, the battery in my macbook, does it contain the kind of element that i should not bring on a plane?

I’m gonna attent a night event (Apassionata horse show). Now that the horses will be moving constantly, I will need to adjust my digital camera in a way that the images will be steady and won’t become blurred. One of my earliest favorites is www.star-telegram.com the local news paper in Ft worth Texas. For the last week, no matter how I attempt to access the site, from favorites, search engine, or typing the url directly in the address bar, I get the star-telegram.com/mobil.
Star telegram contact us was no help. The site is hosted by vevary dot com or something, I contacted them and they at least asked a few questions. What browser, what version, what OP system etc. No answer yet.
this is an old machine, win98, not even second edition, but I can get email and surf the web, print the ocational photo from my digital camera etc, so it works for me, for now.
Any true geeks have an idea of what happened?

On May 21st, 2009, I was aboard United flight 840 from Sydney to LAX and left my digital camera on my seat. I’m pretty sure I left it there because I do remember taking pictures on the plane. When I got home I realized that it was gone. I tried contacting United’s lost & found by e-mailing and leaving messages on their answering machine but needed to go to the airport to talk to a live person. I was told that it normally takes a day for the cleaning crew to bring down items found on flights and that in some cases it may take longer, but also that nothing from flight 840 was brought to lost & found by the cleaning crew yet. Is it likely that there was nothing left behind from a 14 hour flight? It has been 3 days now and I haven’t heard anything. I tried tracking where the plane went afterward and it looks like after landing, the cleaning crew had about an hour to clean up the plane before departing to Chicago. After Chicago, the plane went back to Sydney and then back to LAX. Knowing this, is there still a chance that the camera might show up? How honest are the cleaning crews? I have just contacted the Chicago and Sydney lost and found for United so there is hope there. Just wanted any input from anyone who might know anything about this. Anything else left for me to do? I have over 600 pictures missing. I got engaged on my trip too…. Totally bummed out! Thank you very much for the help!

I bought a digital camera online at prestigecamera.com on the 10th this month, i paid an additional for 3 day shipping and could never get ahold of them after that. they also didn’t bill me so i figure it was legit. everytime i tried calling their answering machine said they were closed and i needed to call back during operation hours, which i was. i finally (on the 20th) get an email that states my order has been processed but i already bought the camera somewhere else. i called them to tell say i wont accept it but they are the most unprofessional company. no "how can i help you" "what’s the matter" "this is prestige camera.." they answer the phone.."hello" and then while i’m talking to her i’m transferred to a guy who asks me a question, while i’m talking he transfers me to another guy that just hangs up on me once i tell him i don’t want it. he doesn’t say sorry or try to keep the customer. he just says "it’s cancelled" and hangs up. now i’m worried cause they have my card info
