Digital Answering Machines

All the cell phone company never have a live person to talk to ex-specially cricket, and at&t I think thats wrong.

You know, the thing that the person hears when you don’t pick up the phone. "Hey, this is ___ & I’m not here right now" or whatever. How do you make a new one on a razor?

It seems that a lot of people tend to default to voice mail systems (AT&T’s for California) instead of using an answering machine. Funny, but for me it always seemed like an enormous waste of money to pay for that every month over years. I just replaced the 2nd one I’ve ever had yesterday with a little AT&T M-1739. The call screening is a nice advantage to me also, when I do that.
I’d actually like to get some more answers here. I’ll add that if one lives alone it makes a lot of difference to have something to take messages. I never had one growing up till I was in my late 20′s.

I’m going to see Lady GaGa this Friday at MSG. & I have already called/ checked their website for information on camera allowance they have said it varies on the event. & the call was answered by a machine so I couldn’t get further details. So, does anyone know if I may bring my digital camera with me to the concert? & if so, is there a specific KIND of camera you can bring? Such as digital SLR/ disposable

i have a at&t cellphone. its lg, flip phone. got it like two years ago and now i want to change it, but forgot. and im looking for the tool to change it but cant find it. changing my answering machine because mines really lame and weird.

I changed from AT&T phone service to comcast and now my answering machine doesn’t pick up my calls or take messages?

Cause some theaters say Bolt disney digital 3D but i thought only the IMAX theaters had 3D. and im trying to call them but its like a machine n it just tells me the showtimes n stuff..

i really want to see Bloody Valentine 3D wen it comes out but im not sure if its coming out in theaters near me.

I have an as48 AT&T stand alone answering machine. I don’t know how to record a message on it for people to hear when I’m not avaliable, does anyone know how to?

I want to get new phones , the kind that includes 2 or 3 phones and includes the answering machine. I already have an answering machine and my fax is hooked up through it. The existing set-up is located in my home office & I like the way that works; however, my phones aren’t working very efficiently (I have 3 of them). I added new batteries to them, but the caller still say they can’t hear me very well. My business phone number & my home number are one in the same. Is it possible to leave the ans. machine hooked up in the office for the purpose of the fax, while I would have the new answering machine hooked-up in the kitchen to pick-up calls?? Would I be able to use the old phones that work if I would get the same brand and style?

Sometimes phone rings – sometimes not.
Sometimes the machine answers – but the phone didn’t ring.
AT&T has been out twice and finds nothing wrong.
Could it be wiring inside the apt. building (walls) causing this. It’s NOT an old building.
Would switching to digital phone make this problem go away?
We got a new phone and the problem is persisting; it has a built-in answering machine.
